What a recruitment agency CV template has to do

A client comparing three candidates for one role should be able to read them line for line. That means one layout across every consultant on the desk: the same section order, the same date style, availability and notice in the same place, and your logo in a fixed slot that never competes with the candidate's name.

The template is also a control. Employers, titles and dates should carry through untouched, and an anonymised version should come from the same approved record rather than a second hand-edited file. Our agency CV template checklist covers the details.

Agencies working several client sectors often keep one master template and a small number of variants: a blind version for clients who ask for anonymised CVs, and perhaps a sector variant with a different section order. Because every variant renders from the same candidate record, a correction made once appears in all of them.

A branded template also changes how quickly a desk works. Consultants stop rebuilding a Word file per candidate, operations stops policing font choices, and a client who sees the same layout every time learns where to find availability, notice and the last three roles. That consistency is what makes a recruitment agency CV template worth setting up once.

Six agency starting points

Bloomsbury is a classic single column and the most widely usable submission layout. Richmond uses a timeline, Spitalfields leads with a coloured banner, and Hampstead uses the executive layout for senior and search assignments.

Battersea and Covent Garden carry a left and right sidebar for skills and candidate details; they suit submissions read by a hiring manager rather than uploaded into a client portal. Every preview is a real render of the same sample candidate.

Make it your agency's template

Start from one of these or rebuild your existing layout in the browser: layout family, fonts, colours, heading style, logo slot and section order. Starter includes one custom template, Agency five and Scale unlimited, with no setup fee and no charge for changing one. If you already have a Word template, see recreating your agency CV template.

Upload a candidate's CV, check every extracted field against the original, and export PDF or Word in your template. Read more on ConnectIQ for recruiters or compare plans and cost per CV.

Inside a template

A small, governable design system.

Organisation defaults flow into a strict template definition the renderer can reproduce safely — the same definition drives the preview and both exports.

Type
Renderer-supported heading and body font pairs
Brand
Primary, accent, text and muted colour tokens
Structure
Visible sections, labels, order, dividers and density

Can we put our agency logo on candidate CVs?

Yes, from the Starter plan. The logo sits in a fixed slot with a maximum height, so it is present on every CV without dominating the candidate's name.

Can we recreate our existing agency CV template?

Yes. Build it in the browser from controlled choices: layout family, fonts, colours, heading treatment, logo slot and section order. There is no setup fee and no charge for later changes.

Can we send anonymised CVs in the agency template?

Yes, from Starter. Anonymisation is applied when the CV is rendered, so the identified and blind versions come from one approved record. It is checked redaction rather than a compliance certification.

Does it integrate with our CRM?

Not directly. ConnectIQ works alongside Bullhorn, JobAdder, Vincere and other CRMs through PDF and Word export; there is no automatic write-back today.
